Life in our
parishes has been changing; there is constant movement in almost everyone’s
lives. This poses challenges to us all
as we try to anchor our faith in Christ, in each other and draw meaning and
strength for our living as Christians in the Catholic tradition.
We know from our experience in many parishes that the desire to build a strong Church community is very much alive.
The Church has been experiencing the same processes of change that our society at large has seen in recent times. Our challenge in this generation is to find ways in which people of faith can bring their inspiration to bear on the life and direction of the Church, locally and nationally. This is the rekindling of the embers, fanning the flame of renewal.
